On Saturday, January 16, Champlain Area Trails (CATS) helped organize an expedition in Poke-o-Moonshine's Lost Oak Valley. We explored the valley on snowshoe and interpreted animal tracks. Lost Oak Valley is a beautiful biologically-rich valley with a high-quality, pine-northern hardwood forest, some neat little glades, a pretty brook, rock outcrops, and cliffs.
