Hike Description: This is an easy hike meandering through a mixed forest, parallel to a small waterway. From the north you travel down to and cross the stream then follow it south meeting up with a logging road and following that almost until you reach Walker Road. You will hike around a huge boulder (house-sized) and end in an open area by a private home. This is a lovely hike in the woods with a few mild up and downs and some wet areas.

Trailhead Location: This trail can be approached from either end. The north end starts on Cook Rd about 0.1 miles up the hill from the junction with Leaning Rd or about 1 mile east of Brookfield Rd. The trailhead is on the south side of the road. The South end of the trail starts on Walker Rd. about 1.4 miles west of the junction with NYS Route 22 or about 1 mile east of the corner at Sayre Road. The trailhead is on the north side of the road.

• Sights: Note the many birches that had their bark poached in 2006. Watch for the huge boulder, beaver dams and lovely wildflowers in spring and summer.

• Animal Signs: This trail has a lot of beaver activity. There are terraced dams that are quite amazing to examine.
