Please join us on Saturday morning, November 5 at 8:30 when we return to Cheney Mountain in Moriah to hike up through the forest, enjoy the views and clear the final 200 feet of trail to the best overlook. Click on this link http://www.thevalleynews.org/news/2011/oct/26/cheney-mountain-trail-work-continues/ - to see an article from the Valley News describing the trail party. It features a picture taken by Elizabeth Lee which is attached below along with a photo by Jim Davis showing the view to the southeast.
The forecast is for sunny weather so it should be a beautiful day for a trail party. You, your family, and friends can just hike and if you want to help make the trail, plan to cut tree limbs and saplings, remove fallen logs, and clear brush; so please bring gloves, loppers, and hand saws. We look forward to seeing you.
Directions from Westport - go south on Rt 22/9N about 7 miles to Pelfershire Road. Turn right and go about 1.3 miles to a grassy area on the left side of the road. From Port Henry - go north on Rt 22/9N about 3 miles to Pelfershire Road. Turn left and go about 1.3 miles to a grassy area on the left side of the road.

I wonder when the next trial
I wonder when the next trial will take place! Can't wait to join you guys again. I'm now entertaining myself with family tree maker but hopefully it won''t last long and I find myself enjoying grassy areas and nice weather!
