David Thomas-Train Preparing Snowshoers

David Thomas-Train introduces the snowshoe outing on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Poke-o-Moonshine Lost Oak Valley. In addition to helping organize and lead the outing, David acquainted snowshoers with animal tracks along the trail. We met up at the entrance to an old jeep trail which is on the west side of NYS Route 9 between Lewis and Keeseville, about 1 mile south of the closed Pok-o-Moonshine State Campground. It is at the bottom of a hill. Coming from the south, it is about 3.5 miles north of Trout Pond Road on Route 9. Photograph taken by George Davis.
